Loving Elephants

Beautiful, loving elephants. This was a magical piece to paint. From a daughter to her mother with love, expressed by the bond between a mother and her calf on the African landscape, boardered by native purple and yellow flowers. Mount Kilimanjaro rises in the distance. 💜

Their bond and affection is palpable; a sweet moment of peaceful snacking with Baby and Momma.

I loved painting this piece. It was a challenge as I have only ever painted one elephant before, way back when I was using only acrylics. I think it turned out well and I loved adding the details of all their little folds and shadows.
